Os atores Ken Jeong (Community) e D’Arcy Carden (The Good Place, Barry) anunciam nesta terça-feira (16) os indicados à 71ª edição do Emmy Awards. Game of Thrones lidera com muita folga a lista pela sua oitava e derradeira temporada.
Foram 32 nomeações (!) para a série da HBO. Com isso, ela bate não só seu próprio recorde de nomeações, como também se torna a série com maior número de citações em um único ano da premiação. Anteriormente, o recorde era de NYPD Blue, que angariou 24 nomeações em 1994. Game of Thrones já é o seriado mais premiado da história do Emmy atualmente, com 47 prêmios em sete anos.
Bem atrás neste ano estão The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Chernobyl e Saturday Night Live, que receberam, respectivamente, 20, 19 e 18 indicações.
Entre os canais, a HBO lidera a relação em 2019 com 137 indicações — alavancada por Game of Thrones — contra 117 da Netflix, segunda colocada. Com a medalha de bronze entre as emissoras está a NBC, com 58 nomeações.
