Game of Thrones e Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt estão entre os mais nomeados. Premiação ocorre no dia 11 de dezembro.
Foram anunciados nesta segunda-feira (14) os indicados televisivos à 22ª edição do Critics’ Choice Awards. A premiação, pertencente ao Broadcast Film Critics Association, formado por críticos e jornalistas estadunidenses, colocou American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson como líder dos nomeados, com seis indicações ao todo, seguido por Game of Thrones e Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, com cinco menções cada. Os canais com mais nomeações foram HBO (22), ABC (14), Netflix (14) e FX (12).
Nesta edição, a premiação vem em meio a uma polêmica. A associação responsável pelo Critics’ Choice Awards anunciou que iria dar em primeira mão a lista dos indicados à Entertainment Weekly e à People, o que causou descontentamento em massa em diversos dos seus associados, inclusive editores de publicações e sites como TV Line, Variety e IndieWire. Ao todo, cerca de 15% dos membros da associação se desassociaram, resultando em um corpo de jurados menor para a formação desta lista de indicados. Na mesma cerimônia, acontece a premiação tanto para os melhores da TV quanto do cinema. No entanto, os indicados às categorias cinematográficas serão anunciadas apenas no dia 1º de dezembro, dez dias antes da noite de premiação, que acontece em 11 de dezembro, com apresentação de TJ Miller (Silicon Valley, Deadpool).
